“Drive safe!” we always say it and people say it to us, but do we really know what it means to truly drive safe? Of course, we wear our seat belts all the time, we never text while driving, we don’t multi-task, and we try to keep the radio turned down to a reasonable volume even when our favorite song comes on. Driving safely, however, can also mean making sure that your car is kept in good working order.

If you can't remember the last time you got your brakes serviced, then it is probably a good time to get them serviced. A good rule of thumb is to have them checked every 12,000 miles or if it's been over a year since the last service. You don't want to find out your breaks are no good when you're flying down a steep hill and a car pulls out in front of you!

It is a fact that high RPMs can negatively affect the components of the engine, simply by exposing them to more strain.
