Perseverance is one of those “things” we’d all like to have, but few of us do. Perseverance is not something you can obtain; it is something you must attain. Being able to pick yourself up when you fall or continue pushing forward when it seems like there is nowhere to go is what perseverance is all about. Google is a great example of perseverance: when Larry Page and Sergey Brin were pitching Google to investors, nobody understood their idea for a standalone search engine.[1] That roadblock did not stop them and they eventually got $100,000 in funding and were ranked #7 of all search engines (with only 7.8% of searches) in 1999.[2] Again, they did not give up. They continued pushing forward and Google became the go-to website to search for something on the internet. Now Google is so successful that it has become a verb: when you search online, you Google it.
At Porsche Southpoint, we are always working hard to do what’s best for our guests. We stay open on Saturdays and some holidays, we come in to help on our days off, and we help out our local community. We celebrate our staff, guests, and community partners on a regular basis to let them know how much we appreciate them. Porsche Southpoint will continue to strive for perfection, no matter how many hurdles we have to jump to get there. Persevere!
