The legendary German sports car manufacturer Porsche introduced its first 911 model in 1963. More than 50 years later, the 2016 Porsche 911 still holds sway for driving enthusiasts of every stripe. The UK's Telegraph recently took the 911 out for a test drive.
The base model of the 911, the Carrera, rockets from 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds, according to the Telegraph. Steering is remarkably precise and this two door grips corners hard and tight.
Variations on the 911 are nearly endless. You can choose two- or four-wheel drive; a coupe, cabriolet or halfway Targa model body style; and multiple combinations of power options. Perhaps the most obvious change inside the car is the new steering wheel, which features a rotary “Mode Switch” for the various driving settings, which include Normal, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. If they’re not enough, then the Sport Response button engages the 911 Turbo S’s systems at full performance for 20 seconds. Passing has never been easier, or more fun.
