The sales numbers for the year that just passed were released by our brand, and the final total gives us a reason to cheer here at Performance Porsche.

For the first time ever sales within the United States eclipsed 40,000, closing out 2013 with a total of 42,323 units sold.   In comparison to last year Porsche Cars North America Inc. saw a 21 percent increase, with a solid December of 3,246 units sold capping the record year.

Detlev von Platen, the President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc., pointed that this record year was "Possible only through the combination of a strong product offering, a highly professional sales organization and a team of dedicated dealers."  He went on to say that 2014 will bring the "Youngest product line ever," and that the brand is "Confident that [they] can continue writing the success story of Porsche in the U.S. over the next 12 months."1

Within this new lineup of models two stood out above the rest, both finishing with some incredible sales numbers.  The 911, in its anniversary year, added six new variants in 2013, and finished the year strong with a total of 10,442 units sold.

The Cayenne lineup kept the ball rolling and sold a total of 18,507 models in 2013, with the diesel version seeing some stellar sales.

Beside these two vehicles the Boxster and Cayman combined to sell 7,953 units, keeping Porsche's mid-engine models in the spotlight.
