Never had an assignment been received with such enthusiasm, determination, and expertise. An assignment as monumental as this takes a special kind of committee to execute the product.
What assignment is this? Create a GTS version of two incredible models, the Boxster and the Cayman and turn them into something truly magnificent.
Can it be done?
Answer: it can and it has.
Sitting 50.1 inches in height, 173.4 inches long and with a wheelbase of 97.4 inches, the new Boxster GTS holds a 3.4-liter flat six which generates a powerful 330-horsepower in both manual and PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung), both of which scream zero to sixty in 4.7 and 4.6 seconds, respectively.
The Cayman GTS stands slightly taller at 50.6 in. with the same wheelbase and length as the Boxster, and its 3.4-liter engine generates 10 more ponies than the Boxster, bringing it to 340-horsepower. The Cayman's six-speed manual sprints zero to 60 in 4.6 seconds reaching speeds of up to 177 mph. The optional PDK ups the ante to just 4.3 seconds.
Power, performance and precision paint the Porsche way, but these sporty speed demons have even more to offer its drivers.
The two aren't expected to hit showrooms until this summer, so in the meantime, we welcome you to Performance Porsche located in Chapel Hill, SC. Upon your arrival, our knowledgeable staff will assist answering your questions and do everything possible to make your experience here an unforgettable one.
