In order to really step it up a notch, Porsche has unveiled its plans to target markets in 15 new countries. Setting itself apart from other competitors, the automaker has a different kind of strategy in mind to establish itself globally. More specifically, this involves tapping into the African market.

The ultimate goal is to boost its global status by the end of 2020. In addition Porsche hopes this will help it to sell over 200,000 vehicles by sometime around 2015 or 2016. While this is quite an ambitious plan, by looking at the new models offered within the new Porsche lineup, all of us here at Performance Porsche have no doubt that its goal is attainable.

Looking more closely at the models that will boost sales, Bernhard Maier, global sales chief at Porsche explains, "What sits at the core is our [Porsche 911]. We're extremely successful and delighted that customers have accepted [Porsche Cayenne], [Porsche Panamera], and our sports cars already, but we would like to institutionalize the sales of 911 stronger."1

While working on expanding, Porsche will continue to strengthen its sales in both the U.S. and China, its two largest markets. This is definitely going to be an exciting next couple of years for the automaker, so be sure to keep up with all of the exciting news by checking back in with our Porsche blog.
