To celebrate reaching 5 million Facebook fans, Porsche decided it needed to do something in return as a thank you. In order to connect with fans, the automaker developed a way that they could provide some input regarding the design of a special edition Porsche 911 4S. By choosing from a variety of customization options, fans were then able to vote through a Facebook app.
Now that the results are in and the fans have spoken, the model is set to be customized with the most popular exterior color, wheels, exterior package, interior color and interior package. The first two options determined by votes were the vibrant Aqua Blue exterior color and 20-inch wheels from the 911 Porsche Carrera S.
For exterior style fans chose the Sport package which includes a front and rear spoiler, a sport exhaust system with twin dual-tube tailpipes, and other enhancements that increase the model's aerodynamic performance. When choosing the customized interior, the Aluminum package proved to be the most popular. This includes a brushed aluminum finish that accents the center console, dashboard, gear shifter and interior trim. Other features that come with this package are the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, luxurious leather adjustable seating and a SportDesign steering wheel.
The final customization option chosen by Porsche fans was the Two-Tone interior color combination of Black and Platinum Grey. With this assembly of features and enhancements, drivers will most definitely be riding in style and turning some heads.
