2012 Porsche 911

Porsche fans have been waiting with baited breath for news regarding the 2012 Porsche 911. Well, the time has finally come and despite a seemingly unchanged exterior, the interior holds many new surprises.

In speaking about the interior, Stephen Turvil from motoring.co.uk says, "The cabin…has evolved like one of Charles Darwin's specimens."

Drivers will find the cockpit will surround them comfortably while the leather seats and center mounted entertainment console feeds any and all information to the driver.

Porsche is known for is power and under the 911's hood, the 3.4-liter flat-six produces 350-bhp, while hitting 62 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds. Porsche's Carrera S variant holds even more power, with a 3.8-liter boxer engine producing 400-bhp, while getting to that 62 mph mark in roughly 4.3 seconds.

For those drivers who desire even more speed, the Chrono Pack can be added which allows for more speed, but is also paired with a lighter aluminum body. The package also comes with the Dynamic Chassis Control System which increases cornering abilities.

2012's Porsche 911 will be available at showrooms like Performance Porsche in Chapel Hill, NC starting December, 2011.
