Despite the downturn in the economy, not all car manufacturers are seeing a decline in sales. Porsche has not only seen increases in America, but has experienced a 30% sales increase globally.

In announcing their numbers last week, Porsche revealed that deliveries have increased 29.5% in June to 10,677 vehicles. To put this into perspective, the number marks a 36.8% more deliveries than from January to June in 2010.

Specific numbers for America were an increase of 18.9% with 2,546 vehicles being delivered. The numbers for China are even larger. Deliveries quadrupled there while the Russian market increased deliveries by 63.6% for the month of June.

Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing, said: "The significant increase in new vehicle orders, especially for our front-engined sports cars, Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Panamera, also gives grounds for anticipating good sales figures in the coming months."1

Porsche vehicles are obviously extremely popular world-wide. To check out the latest Porsche models or schedule a test drive, come down to Performance Porsche on 1810 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27707.
