Porsche recently opened a driving center built specially for Porsche enthusiasts in Istanbul, Turkey. The driving center is located at the Intercity Istanbul Park Circuit and features fun amenities such as a racetrack, terrain course and group learning centers. Auto dealer and race team owner Rick Hendrick will receive the 2014 Keith Crain/Automotive News Lifetime Achievement Award on Jan. 22 at the 2014 Washington Auto Show.
Hendrick, 64, is the founder and chairman of Hendrick Automotive Group, the nation's second-largest privately held dealership group and the sixth-largest group overall. He also is chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, winner of 13 NASCAR championships.
Hendrick Automotive of Charlotte, N.C., operates 87 dealerships in 13 states. Hendrick Motorsports fields four NASCAR teams.

Performance AutoMall hosted its 2nd Annual Charity Car Show at University Mall in Chapel Hill on Saturday, September 8. Performance was proud to donate all proceeds, totaling $1,000, to the N.C. Children's Hospital.
