Porsche Premiers Exclusive New 935 Sports Car

On the first day of the sixth annual Rennsport Reunion in California, Porsche unveiled an exclusive new edition of the beautiful Porsche 935: a slinky, low-slung racecar created in limited numbers for only the most devoted of fans.

It's a 700-horsepower track star stole the show at the Laguna Seca Raceway reunion party, with a sharp style that paid homage to the classic Porsche 935/78 racecar, with a massive tail fin spoiler, an angular nose, a wavy, muscular hood, wheel arch air vents, and a chiseled body.

But, that's not all.

The new Porsche 935 also borrows some stylistic elements from other infamous classic Porsche cars:

While the new Porsche 935 was designed with its predecessors in mind, it calls on modern advancements like lighter carbon-fiber composite parts, better lighting, smarter track technology, and improved aerodynamics. It may look classic, but this car is a true twenty-first century racer.

This custom racer was designed specifically for private track training and driving, and for clubsport events at designated areas--so, sadly, it's not legal on the open road.

Porsche will only be making 77 units of the new Porsche 935, to retain exclusivity and to emphasize the focus on quality over quantity that has made Porsche cars the performance icons that they are.
