Preview the All-New Porsche Taycan--the First Full EV from Porsche

Drivers are already getting in line to pre-order the all-new Porsche Taycan. We're living in an age where all-electric sports cars aren't just possibilities, they're realities--and Porsche is looking to take its place in the pack.

This electric vehicle was known as the "Mission E" in its concept form, but as it got closer to production, the name evolved to something a little more in line with the typical Porsche nomenclature.

We expect that the Porsche Taycan will begin production in 2019, as either a 2019 or a 2020 model.

So, why are people already rushing to buy a vehicle that hasn't even started being made yet?

Porsche Taycan Specs and Performance

While some specs or expectations may change as we get closer to the actual production and release dates, this is what we can look forward to so far:

  • 600 horsepower or more
  • A 300+ -mile range or more on a full charge
  • 0 - 60 time under 3.5 seconds
  • Full-electric powertrain
  • A real, Porsche sports-car feel

Porsche is reportedly building its own ultra-fast charger network to make charging more convenient for future Taycan owners.

You can visit Porsche's website to express your interest in the new Taycan deposit option--or, you can contact the team at Porsche Southpoint to learn more about your options, and about when we might be able to expect the all-new electric sports car here in Durham.
